Our Story

Hi

I am really excited to be bringing the Elemental Toys range to parents who care; both about their young children's development, and about the future of our planet and the people who live in our global community.

As a mum of three, and a qualified and experienced Early Years practitioner, I am passionate about play being the key to healthy development and learning in the Early Years. I know that a toy with great play value will stimulate a child to learn and develop holistically. All of our toys have been selected with this in mind and all have been tested by young children known to me. I have watched and observed our toys being played with and have only included those that I know will engage children and prompt a quality play and learning experience. Through our sister company, Elemental Learning, we already provide many of our products to pre-schools, nurseries and reception classes throughout the country. Education professionals appreciate that our range has been chosen with a thorough understanding of child development, placing the emphasis firmly on creating the conditions necessary for children to develop creativity, independence, confidence and interpersonal skills.

I also know that it is becoming increasingly important that consumers are able to make the choice to shop ethically if they wish to do so. Our toys and games are sourced with a range of ethical criteria; some are from fair trade producers in the developing world, others are made from recycled products, while some are from producers who have really made an effort to 'get it right' both environmentally and socially. I am really proud to be offering this ethical choice to parents of young children.

As a company we also strive to keep our own environmental footprint low, for example using bio-degradable and recycled packaging. We also give 10% of our profits to educational charities that benefit children in the UK and elsewhere in our global community.
